put it in a tank or bucket of water...feed it worms

no such thing as a freshwater crab....

do you perhaps have a fiddler crab? if so they require brackish water (salty fresh water) and a lot of land to chill on. i'm pretty sure they eat krill and maybe some bloodworms.
