  1. I recommend the ACE DUAL TEMPERATURE HEAT GUN item # 20176

With its 2 settings, you can alter settings depending on how hot you need it and it's safer than a torch or the kitchen stove, particularly with graphite sticks. I have used one year-round for over 10 years putting in + taking out blades from aluminum or carbonfibre composite hockey sticks and it's never let me down unlike the Milwaukee brand heat gun/paint stripper.

For this model go to www.acehardware.com/home/index.asp and enter item number 20176 or Ace Dual Temperature Heat Gun

Oh as far as usage? Carefully hold the gun near the end of the shaft (where you have the blade) and when it gets hot enough, carefully remove blade. I would recommend putting additional glue on the blade that's going in = stick glue works best .. get some hot glue on the hosel of the blade and slowly and carefully put it in the shaft. Oh and make sure it's on the right side of the stick !!

  2. Hair dryer or a heat gun.  If you use a torch be careful not to damage the shaft of the stick.  I use a hair dryer - nice and hot on high power.  Ten swipes down all four sides of the shaft - the blade comes right out.

  3. Get a heat gun and melt the glue.. it should come right out! =)

  4. use a hairdryer and have it blow on the glued area between boot and blade and then when it gets hot enough take it out

  5. Heat gun. heat the end of the shaft where the blade is all the way around. Remove blade. Heat again and put in new one.

  6. heat up the glue and pull it out its not rocket science the same way u put the blade in

  7. take out to trash and buy new skates.

  8. Heat the shaft up with a torch or hair dryer and it will loosen up the glue holding the blade in place. It is very helpful if you have access to a large vice that will hold the shaft in place while you try to wiggle the blade out.

If you use the torch, remember to wear some sort of heavy gloves when trying to extract the blade

  9. torch. melt the glue. pull it out.
