Its different for each camera.  i have a Kodak and it has a setting for it. If yours doesn't.  Turn OFF the flash and use a tripod to keep it steady and reduce blurriness.  If you have a night setting on your camera , use it.  I know its not alot of help, but i hope it does get you a good picture!

set your settings on "night" or if your lucky...one of your settings will say "fireworks"
