I have border in my daughters bedroom that is old and needs to come off. We also have "wallies" all over the wall. They are just pieces of wall paper- pre-cut dragonflies. Is there a home remedies?

  1. I used to flip houses and the fabric softener and water works great, the key is to make sure that the water you mix with it is warm water.  Mix about 1/4 fabric softener to water and water that is hot enough that you can stand it, but doesn't burn to touch.  Put in a spray bottle, spray on paper.  (If it is heavy paper, score it first.) Make sure you soak the paper.  Wait 5 to 10 mins. and it should scrape right off.  Use a putty knife to scrape.  Repeat if necessary.

  2. yes its very easy. take a bowl of hot water and add some soap then take a sponge and apply it to the wallpaper and scrub it of then it can peel right off hope for the best of luck

  3. take a spray bottle of water, spray the border and wallies let sit a few minutes, then start peeling or scraping off with a scraper ( a kitchen spatual works well also.

  4. well you can buy this little steam guns they work ok but if money is tight use a iron and press the steam button dont work as well but it do work

    good luck

  5. Mix one cup of liquid fabric softener with one cup of water..pour some in a paint roller pan. using a paint roller w/handle roll this solution on the border...wait a minute or two.the wallpaper should come off easily...good luck

  6. you can also use dish soap and water.  I had a whole house to do and jtried the DIFF and the dish soap and water worked better

  7. Buy some cheap fabric softener and spray it on the wallpaper. Let it soak in and carefully scrape it off with something like a flat spatula. If parts don't peel off easily just respray and let soak again.

  8.     I have alays used warm water mixed with white vinegar.  Sponge it on the border, give it a couple minutes to soak in, then peel off.

  9. I removed wallpaper from a large bathroom with vaulted ceilings and what a task that was!  Honestly... you don't need to purchase any of the removers or wall scorers.  Peel off as much of the top layer of the paper as you can.  Put some warm water in a squirt bottle and saturate.  Wait a couple of minutes and peel.  You might have to do this several times.  Then just wipe down the wall.  The water won't hurt the wall, don't worry.  It's time consuming but it's not hard to do.  Wallies are usually removeable so you can probably just peel those off with no problem.  Good luck and be glad it's only border! :)
