How do I talk my parents into getting me a chinchilla?

I really want a chinchilla but my mom says no every time I ask! So if I ask my dad he says when school starts but when school starts I wont be use to the fact of me taking care of one so that is why I want one now! PLEASE HELP ME!!!

If you're parents say no, then let it be. It took me 2 years to finally convince my parents to let me get chinchillas. And at that, I had to pay for everything myself. The cage, the animals, the food, ect.

But have you done your research on chinchillas? If so, then you already know that they can live anywhere from 10 to 20 years. What will you do with your pet when you go off to college? How do you know you're going to want a chinchilla that long? And who's paying for it? They can get to be quite expensive.
