MY room at my dad's was very messy from getting boxes out of my mom's storage unit, my parents are separated, so at the beginning of summer I had to start cleaning my room. He asked how long it would take and I told him all summer, taking into account that I would be doing other things as well. Its now almost the end of summer and he is mad that I am still trying to finish it. He gave me a week to clean it and told me that I could not shut my door until I showed him I was actually working on it. I showed great progress on my room and felt I should get to shut my door again. I asked and he said no, not until the week was up and my room was totally clean, going back on what he said when he originally set the rule, He goes back on his word a lot and at one point let me close my door for a day or two and then got mad at me for doing so. How to I talk to him about his inconsistency?
