How do I talk to my mom about s*x?

I need to no about s*x I wunna no how to stay safe and have a good life. I don't want to be 16 and the mother of a baby....I'm 13 just so you no and how do i bring up the subject?

just tell her you and her need to have a talk about the birds and the bees. she will know what you mean, and probably will be very supportive of the idea that you are wanting to maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle. Do not go looking for answers on the internet, the internet is not always good and accurate as talking with a parent or a doctor even. good luck

When you and your Mom are alone, simply say to her, "Mom, I need to talk with you about s*x." and go from there.

Or you can say, "Mom, I have a few questions about s*x, can you help me?"

Most Moms will be very thankful you are asking them about s*x for two reasons: first, you trust them and you're not asking your friends who know as much (or less) than you do about it, and second, because if you ask her you Mom doesn't have to try to figure out how to bring it up with you.

Try doing it when you and she are out to lunch together someplace quiet, or in the car. She may feel more comfortable talking with you if she doesn't have to make a lot of eye contact with you because she's watching the road.

Write down a couple questions on a piece of paper. When you do that, read them over a couple times. By doing this you know exactly what you want to ask, and exactly how to say it. Then when your like sitting in the car with your mom, just randomly through a question out there. Usually mothers will be shocked at the question but feel compelled to answer it. It just happens like that. Probably when shes done answering your question she will ask why do you ask that? is there something you want to tell me? why are you worried about it now? And thats when you say no, theres nothing going on, i just want to make sure that when the time comes that i will be ready, protected and safe.
