Question:

How do I tame my chronically frizzy hair without going bankrupt? :P?

Okay, as you can see from my avatar I have curly red hair. But unlike my avatar, it is frizzy and impossible to tame. I am going into 8th grade so I don't want to straighten my hair or do anything extensive, because I just don't have the time or patience for that. I like my curls, but only when they're not frizzy (which lately seems like never). I know products that work, but they cost a fortune (for example: Biosilk costs 25 dollars for a medium sized container which lasts about a month). I can't afford that and my mom won't buy anything that ridiculously expensive.

Let me tell you what products I have in my bathroom right now:

-Sunsilk Hydra TLC Shampoo [which I only use a few times a week]

-Sunsilk Defrizz Conditioner [I'm almost out]

-Sauve Humectant Conditioner

-Sunsilk Defrizz Leave in Conditioner Creme

-Alberto v05 defrizz leave in defrizz cream

-John Freida frizz ease serum for chronically frizzy hair

-John Freida frizz ease Wind Down

-John Freida frizz ease Camoflouge

-got2b sleek spray

-Pantene Spray wax

Don't worry, I don't use that all at the same time. But none of that helps!! I've read so many things about how to manage frizz and I've tried it. But it just hasn't worked....

PLEASE HELP MY POOR HAIR!

  1. I would recommend the Sleek Look line from Matrix for your kind of red frizz, try to get the conditioner if nothing else.*orange bottles* But it is a pricey product at least $14...(and with the way they keep on raising the prices I'd say it's outrageous)

...but the power of water can be amazing...try after washing and conditioning your hair, give it a brush through to get rid of the tats. Then in front of a mirror part your hair they way you want and begin twirling small sections of hair around your finger and repeat this through all your hair forming your hair into ringlets all around your head.

the idea is that your hair will stay the way that it dries and if you can form the curl and let it dry, it won't just do it's own thing and just frizz, it will stay in it's new ringlet.  If frizz is still a prob try putting a leave in or some light gel in your hair prior to twirling .if this doesn't work try a roller set.

  2. garnier fructis mousse on your hair to keep your curls in place.

    its about 4 dollars.

  3. When your hair's towel dried but still wet do the following:

John Freida frizz ease Wind Down

            Suave healthy curls scrunching mouse

Herbal essences totally twisted curl scrunching gel

Herbal essences set me up extra hold hairspray

use clips and ponytail to relax curls

  4. 25 dollars for something that is really going to help your hair, and that lasts a month...is not outrageous.
