How do I tax my car? I have lost my log book and the reminder has not come through the post!?

I have lost my log book and the reminder has not come through the post. I need to tax my vehicle but don't know how to go about it. I have sent off for a new log book but this is likely to take 2 weeks. How long do you get before being fined by the DVLA for not having road tax?

Its not the DVLA you have to worry about - its the police and the offence of using a vehicle without road fund licence.

The only possible way to do it is online - providing you have lived at your current address for some time. Has to be worth a look!

Technically if you are 1 min past midnight on the day after the disc expires do This month 1 min past midnight o 00:01 1/7/08 and you could be fined as the car is untaxed
