How do I teach my lap top to communicate with the printer connected to my desktop??? Please assist me!

I want to print from my laptop to my desktop with the printer attached. I know it's possible, but I'm unsure how to do it. Thanks so much for your help.

You have to set up Printer Sharing on the desktop. Make sure that the desktop is turned on, and you need to create a WorkGroup, so the two computers can be on the same network. You can then use "Network Places" to add the printer, and print to it anytime that the Desktop is on.
