How do I tell from the serial # what year my HERMES saddle was made?

I need to know what 30707 stands for. PLEASE HELP! thanks

I'm fairly certain you need to contact Hermes for that information. They'll look up your serial number and you'll be surprised at all the info they can give you on your saddle.  

Here's a starting point - the number for Hermes in L.A. :

Tel. + 1 310 278 6440

Fax + 1 310 278 9174

If you live in other parts of the US besides CA or, if you're in other parts of the world, try this link to other Hermes outlets. They will be able to track your serial number for you.

You can also go to this E-bay site and ask the Seller. He auctions fine saddles and states that " often, but not always, you can determine the year of the saddle from the serial number "
