Question:

How do I tell her that I don't want to see her?

A friend of mine and I had a big fight earlier in the year and drifted apart, but it was for the best as she was really two-faced. Now we see each other at school and sometimes talk casually online, but she wants to get together. I really don't.

I like how our relationship is and don't want to get close with her again.

How can I get that across without being rude or mean?

  1. Just simply accept invitations you want and decline the invites you don't want.  Be polite, no thank you or I'm late gotta go.  She'll learn to understand the boundries you set eventually.

  2. You need to be honest. Just explain that she did some hurtful things to you or that you don't trust her enough to be that close to her. You did drift from her becasue she was two-faced... ignoring her or making fake excuses would make you somewhat of a two-faced person as well.

  3. Well you could go about this in two ways: A) you could get together and try to clear the air.

    B) you could just let her know you're not interested in rekindling your friendship, however you would like to keep everything "friendly" ie: if you see each other you say hello or talk casually but no more lets hang out and buy each other gifts and stuff like that.

  4. well if she was 2-faced then you should have stopped talking to her a long time ago. no one deserves to have a friend that is going to hurt her in any way at all. so you can either tell her straigh up that you dont want to become all bestfriends again that you want to keep the relationship at the level it is right now. she has to exept it and you cant just keep feeling the way you do. and if not that then when she calls or emails you online to hang out just tell her your grouded or you are going some where with your family or just tell her your parents said no. sooner or later she will get the hint :)

  5. just say it, "i don wanna see u, i don lik u"!!!! shell get over it just like you did

  6. Tell her exactly what you told us and hope she understands.  If you lose your friendship completely it's probably for the best.
