  1. Well, if your teacher is a trustworthy, trained professional, than you should be ready when she says you are. But if you're second guessing yourself, maybe you should talk to your instructor because if you don't feel ready, there might be something wrong. Good luck, and trust your gut!

  2. If your teacher says your ready then you are most definently probably ready. your toes may be crunching on demi because your shoe are too small. but if that's not the case then it's just natural that your toes are that way and you have absolutly nothing to worry about (:

    hope this helps

  3. In my experience, they don't usually put the whole class on pointe at once, not because they aren't all at the same skill level, but because they want to pay special attention to small groups of students to make sure they do everything right.

But if she did say you're ready, you're probably ready. You may not get your pointe shoes the minute your fall season (idk what to call it) begins, but if you're feeling nervous about it, do sixteen releves in the center. Try doing them on one leg at the bar.

About toe-scrunching, I know several girls including myself whose toes do that on demi, so I think you'll be ok.

  4. u really cant tell but ull see ur ankles r getting stronger

  5. ive been dancing since i was 5 im 14 nows but i took like a 2 year brak at the age of 8-9...so i i jus started back around four years ago & just started to get serious i really want to take pointe also but i know my dance teacher says your feet need to be fully "developed" or grown & then you shuld be fine...

  6. ok for starters if she says ur ready then she must think your ready but the key is to believe in yourself in pointe... if you believe in urself and take risks (wen advised to) u'll look awesome and find it easier to get up in pointe but if you lack in self confidence the harder it'll be to get up.... besides if you decide that you dont like pointe i dont see why you should continue doing it.

i have a recent experience where i was doing a temps leve and went to far over on my pointe and twisted my ackle.. afterwards i felt a bit shakey up on pointe but i put faith in myself and overcame my stumble..

    hope this helps =)
