I am having my teeth checked tomorrow and I'm really worried that I will have a cavity, Is there a way at home to tell if you have a cavity? Like I heard that sensitivity to hot/cold water could mean a cavity but I tryed that and nothing is sensitive and there are no black dots on my teeth from what I see. Is there any other way to tell if I have a cavity? I do take care of my teeth I brush, floss, and use mouth wash every day, but If I do have a cavity do the fillings hurt? Please help I have never had a cavity before

  1. Trust me! You would know if you had a cavity. They are painful.

  2. hey amanda.......... just to a doctor.... let him fil it. okay.........dont wory its not at all.......paining.

i think its the best way. to solve it.

  3. You can tell if you have a cavity by using your tong to see if you have a hole in your teeth or if little round things come out off your teeth like a strange bread crumb type thing. Now if you have a cavity the fillings wont hurt because you get freezeing so your mouth is numb but you do get a needle to inject the freezing i hope that helped

  4. More than likely if you truly have been doing a good job, then you will be ok.... but if while they take x-rays, and find something, hopefully it is small, and easily taken care of....

Do what they tell you to take care of your teeth, and all will be well.
