I have just moved into a new place with an electric oven. All the numbers and around the dials have rubbed off and their is no instructions. If I look inside the oven can anyone tell me what I should see if there is a grill? Thanks!

  1. the 'squiggly' bit at the top that goes red is your grill

  2. There would be a heating element above the food.

Does this thing have a make and model number?

  3. It's usually just below the the top heater plates with a small front door,or it might be in the oven itself just try all the dials and see what happens then mark it with a marker pen

  4. All of the ones that I have seen are in the bottom with a door that pulls out. From my experience you have to put the oven dial on "broil", and then put your food in the bottom on a broiler pan. People store pans and utensils in there, so look for a heating element. It may fool you, that it is a storage area but is really a broiler too (i.e. a "grill"). So look don't just assume (that's not an insult you are not assuming I'm just advising).

The answer from Spuds is good too.
