I recently updated my antivirus on my home computer, and haven't had problems with my flash drives. When I went and used them on my school computer, I was getting a message popping up about something being fixed. This never popped up before. How can I tell if I have a virus and how can I fix it if I do (w/o deleting all my files)

  1. USB drive virus make use autorun.inf file to run.

The moment you plug in your USB drive, the autorun.inf fille will trigger

    the virus.exe file to run.

  2. no virus. when you remove your drive from your computer, safely remove it instead of just pulling it out.

to safely remove, go to bottom right, right click on safely remove hardware icon, and click on "safely remove whatever device"

a screen should pop up in which case you stop whichever is your drive and then a message will pop up saying the device is safe to remove
