How do I tell my boss I am looking for a new job?

I am ready to start looking for a new job, mainly because of my drive. I love the company I work for, I love my boss, I get along with everyone (almost) But the drive just really sucks, especially with the gas prices. I am going to be sending my resume out this weekend, but how do I tell my boss I am looking for a new job, and that I have an interview? It is going to be so hard considering I am a very emotional person.

You inform him when you've accepted a new position and not a moment before.  The nicest boss in the world can turn into a skunk when he finds out that you're looking to jump ship.

You should never tell your boss that your looking for a new job and going on interviews. Just look for jobs and go on the interviews and when one of the interviews goes great and wants to hire you. Then you tell your boss & put in a two weeks notice.
