How do I tell my friend to not go to the movies?

My friend is a wee-bit older than me. And we're planning to go to the mall. But I really have this awkward feeling of going to the movies with a boy. How do I tell him I don't really want to without hurting his feelings? I don't say whats on my mind.

Make a few suggestions about other things to do. If there is something like putt-putt golf course near, say something like, "You know what would be fun to do? Let's go play Putt Putt." This way you don't hurt his feeling and let him know of other activities that you like.
