How do I tell my housemates I'm moving out?

Ok so basically I have decided to move out because i'm graduating a year early. The one program i went to the school for has been canceled due to budget cuts and slowly other programs in the arts are being canceled so i want out, and applied to college. I'm freaked out about telling my housemates because i've tried hinting at it so they can see it coming but they get all pissed with me. One person in particular got over the top bitchy and wouldn't talk to me for a week...2 out of my 3 housemates still act like children and live off mom and dad. So how can i approach or bring up the subject and tell them politely i'm leaving without making my last year with them a living nightmare?

Let them no about the change in the program, and that you are going to be moving and is giving them a 30day notice.

Go ahead and do what is right for you, as long as you pay up your share and give like 2 weeks notice, If you can afford it, I would say goodbye and pay in advance and leave asap. Cut it off and move on then make contact if you want when you have settled into your new life.

sorry to hear hour housemates are so immature.  I would get them together and explain why you have to move out.  Do give them the time to find a replacement.  Maybe even help to search for someone.

they may be upset because they hate losing you, you won't be in their lives anymore, it will be a change they have to adapt to.  Explain to them that you still care about them. maybe make plans to still stay in touch.

I'm sure they will understand when you tell them.

Say you have to move on for the sake of your

education and well being.

If they react in a childish manor then tell them they are silly and if they care about you then they should let you move on.

if you are not moving out for another year then you can delay telling them for 6-8 months so do not worry about it.if you give them 3-4 months notice they can find someone else to share.

Well, tell them that they have to let you go and move on, tell them that you'll miss them and that you have to go, but you'd keep in touch. They won't die without you. If they won't listen, just go without word.
