How do I tell my landlord I can't afford the fee's he just added?

I have enough to pay all the rent ......But now he wants me to pay electricity! I just cant afford it until the middle of the month ! What should I say? I pay $1,500 UGH! ! Please help

  1. Be honest with landlord.  He wants nothing more then to have you as a renter.  It may cost him to replace you so tell him your situation.  You have the upper hand remeber that.


  2. it really doesn't matter what your landlord wants.  if the rental agreement didn't state that the tenant is responsible for paying electricity, then you shouldn't pay for it.  but if it does though, then buddy you'll need to pay for it.  if you can't pay for it until middle of the month, then ask the landlord to work with you.  tell him you promise you will pay him, but it will only be 2 weeks later than you expected.  tell him it won't happen again.  i hope he's a reasonable man.
