How do I tell my mom what happened?

The other day my laptop had been in the floor beside a chair . I was going to turn on the light, so i would step on my laptop, but all the sudden I heard a crack. I don't know how to tell her / what to say.

Not fully broken, the screen can easily be replaced.

So just tell her what you did, hopefully she will stil let you stay  in the house :)

Tell her right away, the longer you wait the more pissed off she will be.

Tell your mom that it was not intentional, what you did. You were just trying to turn on the light, which is not wrong. Tell her about it fast because once she herself finds it out she will not be very happy about it.

Just go to her and say you are sorry and it was NOT intentional, You weren't thinking of purposely damaging the laptop. Let her know that you will be careful the next time and will be sure to take care of things.

Tell her you was not thinking and step on the laptop but, did not mean to do it.
