How do I tell my parents that I'm moving?

Me and my boyfriend have decided to attend Northern State University together in South Dakota. We currently live near Los Angeles in California so this is a huge step for us. I am extremely scared to tell my parents our plans and I was wondering if any of you guys had any ideas of how to tell them.

Send them a change of address notice after you get there. they will figure it out

Are you going now and are you old enough that they can't stop you? If so the easiest way is to swollow your pride and tell them, having your boyfriend with you when you tell them couldn't hurt.

Wow, moving in with someone. That's a big step! All you can do is sit them down and blurt it out. But be stern and try not to look nervous or scared. Remind them that you are not a child and that's the time for you to decide things for yourself has come!
