How do I tell the amps and % on a fuse I blew from my stereo?

K its a little glass fuse, approx 20mm long and 5mm dia.

it has a brown stripe, black stripe, red stripe and a slightly bigger blue stripe.

on the top it says T1AL 250V and the other end has random symbols like a peace sign, an A in a circle and a triangle with DVE inside it...

I'm going to get a replacement today but would like to know what i'm looking for as most of the fuses I've looked at don't have stripes, just specifications.

I did electronics as a subject at school so i know the stripes mean something just cant remember what!

  1. Stripes or bands are on resistors and some capicators.  The 1a should mean 1amp at 250 volts.

  2. You should just call the store you're going to visit or bring in the fuse. These people deal with these kinds of things every day.
