How do I tell when golf clubs become too small?

because i have grown an inch or two since i bought my golf set, how do i tell if I have out grown them?

  1. sign to look for...

    are you topping the ball?

    are you bending your knees to an uncomfortable stance?

    are you catching the sweet spot regularly?

    if youre not comfortable then i would either trade them in and upgrade or get them reshafted/customized to your body size(assuming youre done growing).


  2. Grasp the club in the middle of the grip with both hands. Stand straight up and let the club hang to the ground. If it is more than an inch or two off the ground, it is too small (this does not apply to putters).

    There is some wiggle room in this method, as different golfers have different stances, and because of this use different lengths. As a matter of fact, most golfers usually adjust their stance and swing to compensate for their set of clubs.
