I have several e-mail accounts, and litterally, a thousand or more e-mails to read. The majority is coming from my Yahoo Groups, how do I temporarily discontinue receiving messages from them, "Yahoo Groups"? And by the way, I LOVE YAHOO and some of their GROUPS. Thank You...

  1. You can "edit membership" for each group to "no mail" and later change your preferences. You have to go to each group and change it though. (You can click Edit Membership in the upper left, above the group name header)

What are the options for reading group messages in email?

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

  2. When you click on the "Groups" link, it will bring up a list of all of the groups you subscribe to. Click the "Manage" link, then once the next page loads, click where it says "edit my groups" From there you'll see among other things, "Message delivery".. From there you can select "no email' or "special notices only" etc. Choose "no email" for the groups that you wish to receive fewer messaged from, and click "save changes". BTW, Yahoo answers is not staffed by Yahoo employees, so there's really no need to exalt their services here. It won't really help you get a better or quicker answer. Cheers.

  3. actually, I love yahoo as well and many groups :) I don't think yahoo hears it enough

go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the 4th column Message Delivery, click drop down arrow and select no mail - click save changes
