How do I test a portable dishwasher's features?

I have a 5.5-year old Maytag Performa portable dishwasher for my apartment. I'm moving to a new apartment that has a built-in dishwasher, so I'm probably going to sell it.

Normal cycle, which is all I have ever used, works perfectly well, but the dishwasher has three features, temp boost, extended wash, and heated dry, that I have never used.

Consequently, I don't know whether work now (or if they ever worked properly, for that matter). How can I test to see if these features work so I can be honest with whomever I sell it to about whether these features work?

****why don't you just run it through those cycles?  If, for instance, the extended wash cycle lasts longer than the normal cycle, you'll know that one works.  Are your dishes normally warm when you the cycle goes off?  Then you know heated dry works.  Temp boost, try doing that with a normal cycle and see if your dishes are warmer than usual.  Maybe those will help . . . .
