How do I text to a cell phone?

I was told the emailed me my password. I still have not received it.

You can text to a cell phone by either simply sending a message to that phone from another device or by sending an email to

(your number here)@(cell phone domain).com

In the (cell phone domain) area, for verizon it is @vtext.com

for at&t, I think it is @messaging.att.com

do a google search if you need to for "Cell Phone carriers text message domain"  or something along those lines.
