Question:

How do I thaw a frozen burrito?

I have absolutely no cooking skill, except for my ability to follow directions as printed on packages or in books. My frozen burrito package says that they are best when they are thawed before they are cooked. However, I have never seen a set of instructions on how to thaw a frozen burrito. What is the best way to do this? Specifically, at what temperature (e.g. refrigerator, room, oven, microwave oven setting) and for how long should I keep the burrito(s) in that temperature in order to best thaw it/them before I cook it/them according to the "thawed" instructions on the package?

  1. Just set it on your kitchen table until it feels un-thawed enough to eat.

P.S. What kind of burrito is it? It doesn't matter I'm just wondering!

  2. Package is sealed good. Just sit it in a pot with warm water in it. Thaws it quick you'll see. Or microwave it on defrost. I do the warm water for everything. It even thaws meat quick. (WARM WATER)

  3. You can put it in the fridge over night, or on the kitchen side for about 3 or 4 hours I would think. Microwave is more difficult as you tend to get hot spots that start to cook, personally i would leve it in the fridge over night. No risk way then. x

  4. Don't put it on your counter top unless you want some kind of virus in your system,  the best thing you could do it to open it form the package and put in a ziplock bag, and let out as much air you can.  Then put it into the refrigerator.  Yeah it might take a little longer but if you want the best frozen burrito you ever had, then do it that way.

  5. Take it out of the freezer, put it on a plate and leave it to thaw, if it is soft it's thawed, if it's still hard it aint.

  6. thaw under cool running water.

    or

leave in frige overnight, nuke on high for 3 min, this will cook it too. (all in 1 step)

place in car for 4 hours

put it in your pocket for 2 hours

    place in toaster 5 times

take it to taco bell... (you aint qualified)

place on counter and let nature take over for you.

hair dryer 15 min. on high

heat lamp at work, (want fries with that?)

place under armpits for 30 min.
