How do I thread this sewing machine?

So I got my little girl this Singer Chain Stitch child's sewing machine at a thrift store and it was only the machine. I can't figure out how to thread it. I know on a regular sewing machine you take the piece off under the the needle and foot to run the top thread through but I can't get the little piece off!! Please someone help me she's driving me crazy wanting to use it!!!!
