I can throw a sinker, knuckle curve, and circle change consistently but I feel like if I add in a slider or cutter I will be more affective jamming lefties, like what Johan Santana and Andy Petitte do to righties.... Please help!!!

  1. For a slider what I do is grip a curve and throw it harder and more side arm. For my cutter what I do is I grip a 2 seam fastball and rotate it forward so if you look at the ball from the side its a backwards c. I also put my fingers together.

You should also just experiment and try things out. Thats really how I learned how to throw mine.

  2. How old are you.  If your too young throwing a lot of breaking pitches will ruin your arm,  Just concentrate on velocity and accuracy hitting the corners of the plate.

  3. You are too young to be throwing breaking stuff unless you are sixteen.  Not almost, but sixteen.  Anyone who advises you any other way does not have your best interests at heart.
