Question:

How do I track an incoming international parcel?

An eBay seller sent me an item using Hong Kong Airmail. He gave me the tracking number, and when I enter it in the Hong Kong Post site, it says the parcel now in the UK.

It's been some time since it's been in the UK, and I haven't still received it. Is there any way I can get further details of delivery using this tracking number, which doesn't involve contacting the Hong Kong Post? The tracking number isn't working in either of the PostOffice, RoyalMail or ParcelForce sites. Can my local PostOffice be of any help?

  1. I sympathise as I sent something to New Zealand via DHL a while back and it was an absolute nightmare.  THey just kept randomly delivering it to the wrong address and person and kept telling me that ''blah blah'' had signed for it and ''blah blah'' was nothing remotely like the addressee's name.  I did have to really phone stalk and semi lose patience to get any joy.  Although DHL do have the UK number too - I found it easier going direct to NZ.  I can see an e-mail add for postage tracing on the HK post site so I'd e-mail them and put a delivery and read receipt on the e-mail so you know when it's been answered.  How long ago was it?

You could try asking your local post office as you never know, they be of assistance.

    Good luck.

  2. suggest you check e-bay as the UK postal worker who has nicked your parcel will probably be selling it again shortly

  3. If it was shipped fed ex you can go to their site add the tracking number and it will show where it is and at what time it arrived. You need to find out who the carrier is for anyone to be able to track. Go back to the seller and ask if they can fax or scan a copy of the receipt from the carrier, that way you will know exactly if the seller has even sent it.

  4. unluck mate ring the postmaster generals office they should be able to help you good luck silver fox..
