  1. run suicides (lines) or quickfeet

  2. chase chicken around that's what i'm doin for football trust me it works to perfection =)

  3. suicides are obviously a good way, but most dont enjoy them.. hah. another drill you can do either by yourself or competing with another is stand in the middle of the court. so a tuck jump and as you're landing have someone quickly yell a direction (left, right, forward, back) upon landing you have to sprint as fast as you can in that direction. my vball coach has the setters and liberos on my team do this drill..

a similar drill is first get low in shuffling position with hands in front and have a coach, parent or friend call or point a direction to go. she will continue calling directions and you have to shuffle and change directions quickly.

another drill, similar to suicides is to set up a cone on one side of the court in the corner. then set up about ten cones across the court, lining the long line of the court on the other side. first you must run from the starting cone to the first cone and bring back each cone to the starting cone one at a time. the next person starts with all the cones in a stack and must run and spread them back out one back one.

hope this helps.. just some drills i do in vball practice and in vball workouts

  4. quickfeet. you know those excersizes that you see in all the football movies where they move their feet hecka fast but dont go anywhere? that.

sprints. sprints across the gym. suicides. sprint to one side of the gym, then jog back, sprint back again, repeat as long as you want.

  5. lol  you said "hecka"

    thats funny.

  6. we have a drill called the drop drill. the coach stands half the width of the vball court away from you and holds the ball. when they say go, they drop the ball and you have to get it. (it also helps with digging)

if you're by yourself, just practice sprinting. from farther distances.
