I got to do a running event in how do i train for this event?

  1. You need to run three different type of runs each week.  One longer for more endurance ,run just once per day.  One the same length as the race for time, twice in the same day.  The third one much shorter for speed and should be run about 4 times in one day with walking or jogging in between.  You should only work out 3 to 4 times per week.  If you are working out hard, you will need at least one day off to recover.


  2. Just keep going out, warming up, stretching and making yourself run every day, and make yourself gradually run further.  Make sure to keep well hydrated, keep drinking plenty of water and gatorade/powerade to keep your body going.
