I found a stray a couple weeks ago, took her to the vet, and she's perfectly healthy. Also, she's perfectly a terd. I can't get her to calm down. She get aggressive when she doesn't get her way, and no matter what I try she doesn't listen. She's only 9 weeks old or so, could it be it's a stage?

What are my options? I need help!

  1. cats dont listen.  and Agressive how?  the best way to teach a cat that you arent going to give in to its demands is to ignore it.  At 9 weeks all she's going to want to do is run and play and sleep.  They grow out of it.

  2. I bought a movie from the dollar store on how to train a cat?

  3. I have a cat that was trying to climb up on the flat screen tv, and when he did it, I would spray him with a water bottle.  Not a lot, just a little spray, and it got to the point, that when he did it, if I got the water bottle out, he would run.  He has never gone back up there again.  Try the water bottle.  It works.

  4. Get her spayed. I have a male stray that does the same thing and I'm almost certain once he's neutered he won't be so mean.

    Or google clicker training cats

  5. Shoot it with a sniper rifle!

  6. Lol kittens i share your troubles! Its the fact that because the kitten is so young its a frisky little mess and yes it going to be a perfect terd! In fact mine doesn't like me sleeping in my bed he wants it to him self! but you cat may or may not grow out of that honestly! But you do have options for this little rascal and it simple really go to a near training facility and get some tips maybe they may be able to give your cat cheap lessons! but always when having baby cats let it get away with anything the first time it will result into a worse mess next time!

  7. It's probably scared, so instead of hiding it tries to fight. When it comes up to you (if she does), be gentle with her and show her you won't hurt her.

  8. use a water sprayer to punish the kitten when it mis-behaves

  9. sorry it sounds like a wild cat, try to get a pedigreed cat

  10. The kitten is just playing around. All kittens act like your wrestling so just  play little games with it.what i do is put my hands under a blanket on the bed and start moving it and the kitten will keep on attaching it.I have three cats and the one thats 4 plays like that and my other cat that just turned 1 plays like that. The cat is just playing around. But if it gets older and bites you soo much it hurts  then you should say no and barely spank them (so it doesnt hurt). If its just a kitten they dont really listen until their cats but keep on trying so she knows wrong from right.Say you have a plant and she starts eating it just spray her with a spray bottle whenever she does that and she might learn that she doesnt want to eat the plant if shes going to get wet. Also you should get toys like these for her,

  11. Save the kittens, as they are more important than she is. If she is only aggressive toward those trying to pet her while she is around her kittens, take the kittens away from her and give them milk through small bottles. Treat them like newborns, checking the warm milk on your wrist before you give them any of the milk.

I am sorry but I don't know what to do with the cat, but if she is a big problem and a safety issue, you might have to give it away or worse. It could be her age, as old pets (cats, dogs, whatever) can get really nasty when they are old, especially if they are neutered, though young pets can get mean if they are neutered.

  12. Your kitten has most likely come from a horrible background, hence why you found it stray. I think you should take it to kitten club and try and handle it as much as possible. What ever you do, don't give up on it!
