  1. Is your dvd player also a recorder?  if so, you need to set up the vcr to tv and the dvd player to vcr, set the tv as usual to channel you watch video on and then have your dvd recorder record ch? (probally 3 or 4) and you shoild start taping whats on your vcr tape to a disc.

  2. Pinnacle Studio movie box - is a box of tricks you connect between VCR and PC. Play your VCR tape as normal and via this little box - usb connect - your videos appear on PC screen. You can then edit etc and when satisfied with end results then you can burn to DVD. You can also connect digital cam corder to do same job.

I have the Pinnacle system and its great - you can even add lots of still pics and make a slide show video and burn to DVD.

Check Pinnacle on your web browser and you'll understand better what I mean.

Good luck Movie Mogul - Hollywood here you come..

  3. You can use Windows Movie Maker to help you.

You can use it to edit your video and then save to dvd.
