Question:

How do I transfer a slide show from keynote to a DVD-R from my Mac?

I'm sure there has to be an easy way that I have overlooked. When I do burn the slide show to DVD-R I either copy pictures only or audio only. I'd like to be able to put the disc with the slide show into a DVD player and see it with the automatic movement and audio.

Thank you, This has been driving me crazy for weeks!

  1. You have to “author” the DVD. In other words, you have to use an application to make the files viewable on a stand-alone DVD player. iDVD is perfect for the job. From Keynote, go to File > Export, and export your presentation out as a Quicktime Movie. Then make the menus and add the video using iDVD!

Keynote might give you the look and feel for what you want, but most people use iPhoto for a simple slideshow, or iMovie for more advanced features and control. You would do a similar process of exporting out a QuickTime movie, and authoring using iDVD.
