  1. there is probably some kind of transfer cabe that you connect to ur cam and your comp. then transfer and use the imposrt video option in wmm (windows movie maker) gl!

  2. Whether you use USB cord or firewire to connect your camcorder to your computer there is an important step to follow.

Go into setup options in your camcorder and set usb mode to Streaming (as against standard) this is vital for copying video to your harddisk.

  3. Movie maker sucks!!!!

it always stuffs up no matter wat comp im on

  4. You should have had software (a CD) that came with your equipment.  If you have not loaded this on your computer, do so.  It should have a manual on that same CD that should tell you how to transfer vids from the equipment to your computer.  Without knowing the make of your equipment, it would be hard to tell you exactly how, as all cam-corders operate differently with different software.  I know cause I work with them everyday.  GL!!!

  5. use hardware that can record off your tv :D

    dazzle video creator platinum.

  6. You need to connect the DV port on the camcorder to your computer using a firewire cable. This will most likely be a 4-pin to 6-pin firewire cable.

You may need to install a firewire card. Firewire, iEEE1394 and i.Link are all the same thing.

When everything is connected, and the camcorder is in "Play/Edit" mode, MovieMaker can see the camera and import the video. Occasionally there are problems with Movie Maker doing this - just download and install WinDV.

USB will not work to transfer miniDV tape based video from the camcorder to your computer. USB is for streaming and transferring still pictures from the memory card only...
