How do I transfer from DVR?

I have a news segment about my son in Iraq recorded on my DVR(Roadrunner, not TIVO). I want transfer it to something (DVD, computer) so that I can send it to his out of state wife. Also to my son who is an Army medic in Iraq. I am "technologically challenged" but can follow directions. Please help!!

You should have S or composite outputs from your DVR. You can connect them to a DVD recorder or to the input of a tuner board in your PC, if it has one. Then you just playback the show and record it.
