Question:

How do I transfer iTunes files from my laptop to my desktop?

Well I've usually hooked up my ipod to my laptop in order to sync it with songs but I had to get my ipod sweeped because someone installed some spyware onto it and they were viewing everything that we were doing. They didn't do anything to it as far as we know at Best buy (the people who we payed to sweep it out) so we had to go pick it up. Since I've gotten it back I've tried opening up iTunes and it says "Application not found" and there's no way that I can reinstall it. I've gotten all the songs onto the desktop but when I click them they don't play. I haven't hooked my ipod up to the desktop yet because I don't want to lose any songs. Is there anyway that I can correct this or reinstall the iTunes application back onto the laptop with all of my songs there?

  1. Go onto your desktop's itunes, then right click on any song (assuming you have a windows based pc) and click show file in windows explorer.  This will show you all your music files (hopefully, unless you have files in different locations around your computer), and you can copy and paste them to an external drive/flash drive and put them on your laptop.
