My family just got the new leopard software for our Mac OSX and all of my music on iTunes, 1040 songs, disappeared. I still have my songs on my iPod. But i'm scared that if i connect my iPod to my computer all of the songs will be removed. WhatI want to know is how do I transfer my music on my iPod to my library without it being deleted. Music is my life. I would be devastated if I didn't have it anymore. Please help me!!!

  1. This happened to me it sucked. If you bought all of your music on itunes you don't have to worry. Simply connect it to the computer and iTunes will say recognize thats the music is from a different library and it will ask you if you want transfer all the files to your library, if you want to do nothing (i won't do anything with your music unless you sync it and then it will delete all the music and replace it with what your are syncing) or if you want to delete everything on your ipod. Click the transfer files one and all everything you bought on itunes will go to the library. If you are like most people and download you music illegally You will need install a program that will transfer your music on your  ipod to your itunes library. You can get these programs for free but they only allow you to transfer a couple of songs and then you have to buy it. I suggest that you do purchase it (its usually about $10). If you do not purchase it it will probably take a day to sit there and close the pop ups that come up after it transfers one song, very annoying. I had about 500 songs on my ipod and it toke me 5 hours to transfer all of my music and exit a lot of pop ups.

  2. I recommend: iPod to PC Transfer for Mac - a sound of blessing for frustrated Apple's iTunes users who can't copy music files from iPod to pc desktop or laptop since iTunes blocks iPod-to-computer song transfer. With iPod to PC Transfer for Mac, iPod users can transfer iPod Songs to Mac based PC easily. iPod to PC Transfer for Mac utilizes iPod's internal database to display your iPod's contents instantly. iPod to PC Transfer for Mac is fully compatible with all existing iPod including iPod(1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th generation iPod), iPod Photo, iPod mini, iPod shuffle, iPod nano and iPod video.
