  1. Hi there. This can not be done. Most of the ports on DVR's are not even live ports. The only way to do it to remove the hard drive. However, doing this means you will end up paying for the DVR, if you rent the machine. Cheaper to buy the content you are trying to transfer. It is illegal, as the information on the DVR is copywrited.
