  1. The do it yourself way involves playing the 8mm into a  little movie screen gadget using an 8mm projector and capturing the image  with a video-cam preferably a digital one. I did it with some old super 8 films the werer'nt perfect but acceptable for the price. I did a search for the little screen gizmo but can't find one , they sell for around $25.

  2. first you need to install a video card in your pc which accepts the audio and video input

then connect the a/v cable between the video or 8mm camera and the video card start recording in the pc using any recording software like windows movie maker and save the file

after this you can burn the movie on cd or dvd using any cd burning software like nero or may be windows movie maker is ok

    enjoy your movies

  3. If you type your question into your browser you will see all the websites that either tell you how or provide services that do it for you.  I too need to get this done, and have decided to pay someone to do it, because the cost of the equipment is just too high.
