I just purchase Dreamweaver to create my own website. I know that people use programs like Filezilla to put there web files online, but is there a way the Dreamweaver does this by itself and automatically, so I won't have to pay a web hosting service any fees?

  1. You pay a web hosting site to store your files to let people see them, dream weaver can't just store them in thin air.

  2. Yes, Dreamweaver supports multiple upload protocols.

  3. Here is a site that list loads of free web hosts. Just remember to upload all of your files.  Make sure the host allows for multiple files or a folder to be uploaded at the same time.   Note - These sites will put advertising on "your " web site

"Free Webspace" is a directory list of free web hosting providers (free hompage hosting sites), with about 300 of the best free web space hosting sites with reviews, testimonials, and ratings, and is updated daily.

  4. Of course Dreamweaver can do it!

First thing you have to do is determine your FTP credentials (site URL, root web folder, user and password). Then, in DW, setup your site's Remote Info. That is where you select your copy method (FTP in this case).

DW will then upload your files automatically.

Of course, this does NOT replace your hosting fees. You DO need hosting... I recommend ModHost.com as it's stable and affordable (40$/year approx.).

    Good luck!
