I have a laptop with iTunes and about 700 songs. Many of these I purchased off of the iTunes store. Unfortunately, my laptop is breaking down (manufacturing error, the screen is slowly splitting at the sides just from the strain of opening and closing) and I'm going to have it replaced with a new computer. What is the best way to transfer my iTunes music to the new computer?

  1. Add all of the songs in your library to your IPod.  Then attach the ipod to the new PC (with Itunes on it) and sync the ipod.  If you don't have room for all the songs in your library, burn them to a CD, then rip them onto the new PC from the CD.  This should do it.

  2. easy. All you do is this, you set your ipod into disk mode. Then connect it to the other PC, then you go into the ipod on the other pc and copy all the songs from ipod to pc.  Now you will have to set the folder settings to show hiden files, go into ipod control folder and find music. There will be files named 01 02 03 and so on. They will have your music there. Copy that music into your PC hard drive and import them into itunes.

Other then taht you can always burn your music on CD (go to you old pc, search for itunes folder, then music, then burn music onto CD) and then copy cd contents to new computer. Might take a few CDs though depending on how big you collection is)

Either way you will be asked to reauthorise your purchased songs, they WILL NOT CHARGE you again for them, just put in the password to prove this is you.

  3. on your new pc install itunes then just sync your ipod to the new pc your songs will go to itunes library

  4. all u do is put the cord connected to the ipod on the computer

  5. a dvd cd it should fit them all
