How do I transfer my pictures from my Kodak camera!?!?!?

I had a friend completely change my computer. he put on a new software and everything-its so much faster and i love it. but i forgot to tell to save my kodak software:/ so i reinstalled it and its on my computer but when i plug my camera in like i used to-the little transfer photos box doesnt pop up anymore and it does'nt even recognize my camera. its driving me nuts and I've tried to figure out for a week and am getting no where. PLZ HELP:(

  2. Get a card reader, they are cheap (10.00 to 15.00) and very handy to use. You would put the card from your camera in the reader and open the reader as a drive in MyComputer, then also open MyDocuments/MyPictures and drag and drop your photos into the file.

    This avoids the use of your camera's software and with the cardreader you can download anyone's camera.
