I need to know how to edit my footage in order to make a DVD and movies

  1. Add a firewire (IEEE1394a, i.Link, DV - all the same thing) port to the computer (if it does not already have one) - then, using a firewire cable and the camcorder in play/VCR/edit mode, connect the camcorder's DV port to the computer's firewire port with that firewire cable. Launch MovieMaker (Windows) or iMovieHD (Macintosh), specify the port, and "Capture" (MovieMaker) or "Import" (iMovieHD) the video from the camcorder.

    USB will not work. USB-firewire converter/adapter will not work.


  2. what operating system do you have?

    (windows, apple)

    also, do u have a cable to connect it?

    i create and edit videos on windows movie maker, it is fun and easy
