  1. you cannot transfer actual space.  hard drives are hardware which means you cant actually change the size of them.  you can move FILES from C drive to D drive but not space.  try moving your pics and videos to D drive.  that should free space on C drive.

  2. Firstly dont try moving any program files or anything which is designed to run on the computer.

Your best bet is to move your music folder, video folder etc over to the one drive, to do this simple cut the contents of the folder, create a new folder on the other drive, and paste it in there. You can then alter the directory of your origional music folder in the properties so it actually opens the new one in the other drive.

Also, you will find gigabytes of data stored in places that you dont use. It's not quite so bad on windows XP, but try find ways of clearing the drive D up. It unusual for a drive to be full with entirely useful data.

  3. What kind of drives? Hard drives? You can't actually share space between drives, but you could move files from one drive to another (thus freeing up space on your C drive).

  4. You cant actually transfer gigabytes space from one hard drive to another but you can copy your file (not windows file) from Drive C onto Drive D. Then delete off drive C.

  5. You cant transfer actual unused space. Assuming that Drive C is the drive that Windows XP is installed on, only transfer files that are safe to move (e.g. your personal pictures, documents that you made, or usually anything in the My Documents folder) not system files or any file that might make your computer unusable. If you want you can install programs on to your D Drive to use its space. You can usually do that in the installation wizard. Hope this helps.
