How do I transfer the pics from a digital camera to the com

Question

I have just bought my first digital camera - took pictures - now in the final stage got a pc the printer but can I get the pictures off the camera NO!!! all the booklet shows is the nice little cable plugged in to the USB port on the computer no instructions and the computer doesn't even acknowledge the camera as such - simply a mass storage device which is devoid of any information.

I am stuck - spent two hours attempting to explain the problem on line and poor guy got as far as telling me that when the camera is attached to the computer it should be turned on (knew that) and that the display screen should be blank and the green light flashing - no blank screen - how do you get the screen to go blank???? then lost connection

OK I am probably an idiot and need a 3yr old to do this for me but will someone please take pity and help me out!

y dont u try another usb..?

or try accessing hardware from control panel..

or else, get a memory card reader, take pics on ur cam, then attacth the card reader to ur pc with ur mem card in it..

you could try buying a universal card reader and insert u r memory card in it. it will be recgnised by any usb port.then u can use programmes like picassa to organise your photos

as soon as u plug in the usb  the comp nd 2 ur cam itz supposed 2 automatically pop up with all da picz nd videos u took

Hi. When you bought your digital camera, did it come with a software disc and did you install this? If not, you might need to as it contains the software for your camera to work with the computer. If it didn't come with a disc, you might to download and install the drivers for the camera yourself. You can do this by going to the website of the company who made your camera and you should usually be able to locate the correct driver to make your camera work. Once you have installed the driver then the computer should be able to recognise your camera. Simply connect the camera to your computer using the USB cable and switch on the camera. A box should come up which will tell you about your camera, and then you can download your photos. Hope this helps.

connect it with the usb cable then go to my computer and you will see the camera then click on it and find our photos

you have the 1st [ OBVIOUSLY! ] but do you have B & C ?

you'll need to download the camera drivers into the computer 1st thing. now connect the usb cord between your camera and computer
