I am seeing some friends off at the Domestic Airport in sydney, the train ticket to Wolli Creek is $4 return and to change onto the Private trainline will cost me another $15 return, so I have decided to walk, as some workers do, from Wolli Creek station to the Domestic Airport.

I know how to get to the International Airport by foot so what I'm asking is, is there a way to get from the International Airport to the Domestic Airport by foot without using the main roads (Airport Drive and Quantas Drive)

  1. See google maps http://maps.google.com/?hl=EN

  2. Everyone who actually knows Sydney is aware that the line is private. It even went broke at one stage because it's such a rip-off, nobody uses it except for dazed tourists and businessmen on expenses. Even so I would follow laup l's advice and just pay up. Walking could take forever.

  3. it is cheaper to get a ticket to the city and get off at domestic and at window ask for a gatepass single $2.20 or return $4 it is the cheapest and most cost effective way i do this daily to an from work (if unsure ring 131500)

please note it is not private line city rail bought it off the sweds some yrs ago but need to recover costs

  4. On the south railway line you could get off at the Mascot stop and then walk to the domestic terminal.  Shouldnt be too far and you wont have to pay a crazy airport levy.

  5. I don't quite understand your question.

There is no 'private trainline' to Sydney Airport, it's the normal CityRail train which just happens to stop at Sydney Domestic and International Terminals.  BTW this train actually stops at Wolli Creek as well!

You don't where you actually travelling from, so if you can get to Wolli Creek  you might only need to stay on the train. Therefore it won't cost you anything extra.

  6. Ignore Zaafir. Domestic and International rail stations are privately operated,at increased fares.you can exit at Mascot station and walk or [easier] just pay the bloody thing and grit your teeth as you walkout thru the ticket barrier with a finger up for Macquarie Bank ,who own the airport.
