  1. Take the CTA from the airport to either the Jackson station or the Clinton station.

Jackson station is 8 blocks from Union Station, get a cab.  It's in the middle of downtown with lots of people around.

Clinton station is only 2 blocks south of Union Station, but not as many people around, and under a freeway overpass, and no escalators or handicap facilities (not that you should ever take luggage on an escalator).

  2. yeah go downstairs of O'Hare airport to the cta blue line (Their will be signs) pay for a transit card for one trip ($2) get on a blue line train to Forest park (or 54th/Cermark) ride it to Clinton (will take about 45 min) get out of the subway station and walk north on Clinton two block to Jackson. cross Jackson go right (east) Jackson one block then cross Canal st go left (north) on Canal then on your right will be the Union station doors (on the same block) walk in and your there.

  3. taxi

  4. Depends on how much baggage you have.  If you don't have a lot, go down the steps to the CTA Blue Line -- When you get to Union Station [well, actually two blocks away] just walk up the steps.

Faster than taxi; cheaper than taxi; and it's fun.
